Visuele Verbinders (a.k.a. Visual Connectors) is an agency that facilitates strategy development for complex challenges. We align people within organisations and translate information through business drawing into accessible and understandable visual roadmaps, animations, infographics and live illustrations.

We combine Design Thinking with expertise in organisational and change management. With a mix of facilitators, change managers and technically trained designers, we bring structure and clarity to complex information and challenges. We strongly believe in involving people within the organisation to build support, always keeping the target audience in focus.

We work for educational institutions, healthcare organisations, infrastructure, construction and technology, government bodies and corporate organisations, primarily in the Randstad region.

Visual impact

To connect visually is a mega effective and collaborative way to develop and collaborate. We love to get involved in development trajectories, where complexity is high and finding common interest is imperative to achieve your goals.

A demand for connection starts with the development of an idea. As designers we like to be involved in the early stage to create a shared mental model and connect visually. But we are also called to the task in a later stage of detailing, communication or implementation.

In every phase visual, sometimes virtual, by drawing live but also by letting participants draw themselves. That’s what we call Visual Thinking.

To connect starts with creating a shared mental model! And logically we test our products with the target audience. Do they understand the story? Does it have the right flow, feel, look and sound? Where possible, we optimize our illustration. This way, we develop powerful drawings, with a strong build-up and the right story.

Who we are

Visuele Verbinders is a collective of entrepreneurial designers. We help organisations to develop solutions using visuals. We help them in communication their solutions visually, in order to achieve results. We are curious, open minded, critical and entrepreneurial. We believe in fluid forms of collaboration, where connection leads to reinforcement.

That's why we have different expertises within our collective, but we also work with specific partners that strengthen our organization and share our beliefs.

Yes. We help align the information, choose the right narrative and translate existing content into visuals. We ensure the message connects with the target audience, so the intended change can actually be realised.

Yes, our illustrators can do live business drawing and capture input visually. This can be passive — listening and drawing — but the illustrator can also actively engage or facilitate the group. At agreed moments the illustrator reflects the visuals back to the group.

Yes. We start with a session to surface and structure everything that exists. This helps us determine which perspectives are relevant and which visual format fits best: an interactive visual roadmap, an animation or an infographic, based on audience and use.

Yes. Animations are especially suitable as part of a broader communication strategy, to convey a short message powerfully, often with a call-to-action at the end. Sometimes an interactive visual roadmap serves the purpose better, as it can contain more information. We are happy to advise on which format fits best.
